This 2-day seminar is designed for pipeline company personnel in regulatory compliance, operational, or engineering roles. The seminar program will cover detailed information in select focus areas to benefit actual practitioners, but it will also cover a range of topics in an abbreviated manner that is suitable for management.

The seminar will review major compliance requirements of the following elements of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations affecting the operation of gas and hazardous liquids pipelines - CFR 49, Parts 192 and 195:

George Williamson is Operations & DOT Compliance Consultant with BP. He is a professional engineer and a NACE certified Corrosion and Cathodic Protection Specialist, and has more than 18 years of engineering, projects, and operations management experience with ARCO and BP. Mr. Williamson was the operations manager over part of the Prudhoe Bay Oilfield in Alaska from 1997-2000 and currently is responsible for integrity management for three different BP business units in the Lower 48. He has published numerous papers on in-line inspection, managing plant and equipment failures, and materials engineering.
David E. Bull, ARM, is well known throughout the gas industry for outstanding training programs, development of the odorization audit and expertise in regulatory compliance and evaluating damage prevention programs. His experience includes risk assessments for over 75 gas utilities for AEGIS Insurance Services, membership on the Damage Prevention Quality Action Team (Dig Safely) and as a staff member at the Transportation Safety Institute, Pipeline Division. David has over 28 years experience helping pipeline operators to assess and manage their risk and liability exposures. He is also a principal in ViaData LP, publishers of WinD.O.T., The Pipeline Safety Encyclopedia.
